QA / Test Engineer (Manual & Automation) – Remote / Hybrid – Europe-Based
We are hiring a detail-oriented and quality-driven QA / Test Engineer for a key European client developing enterprise-grade web and mobile platforms. This role combines manual testing precision with automation scripting to ensure application reliability, performance, and security.
Open to candidates within the EU or those with valid European work authorization. Remote-first with hybrid options depending on client requirements. Both contractor and full-time opportunities available.
🔧 Responsibilities:
Analyze system requirements and collaborate with developers and product managers to define test strategies
Develop and execute detailed manual test cases for web, API, and mobile platforms
Design and implement automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Postman
Build and maintain regression suites for continuous integration workflows
Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, and cross-browser testing
Log, track, and validate bugs using tools like Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr
Participate in test planning, execution, and release readiness reviews
Work with developers to build unit and integration test coverage pipelines
Contribute to quality assurance process improvements and best practices
Maintain test documentation and release notes
📌 Required Profile:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, QA Engineering, or a related field
4+ years of experience in manual and automated QA in an Agile development environment
Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, or similar browser automation tools
Experience with API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and Git version control
Basic programming/scripting in JavaScript, Python, or Java is a plus
Experience testing web apps, mobile apps, and responsive interfaces
Knowledge of performance/load testing tools like JMeter or k6 is an asset
Fluent in English; additional EU languages are beneficial
Must be located in the EU or possess a valid European work permit
