DevOps & Cloud Engineer – Remote / Hybrid – Europe-Based
We are seeking an experienced DevOps & Cloud Engineer to support large-scale infrastructure and deployment environments for our enterprise clients across Europe. The ideal candidate is proficient in cloud platforms, automation tooling, and containerized architectures. You'll play a vital role in improving scalability, reliability, and CI/CD workflows.
This position is open to professionals within the EU or those holding valid European work authorization. Both freelance and full-time candidates are welcome. Remote-first environment with hybrid collaboration depending on the client.
🔧 Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage cloud-native infrastructure using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Build and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins
Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation
Set up and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes
Monitor system performance, availability, and security using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog
Collaborate with development teams to deploy and scale applications
Implement backup, disaster recovery, and zero-downtime deployment strategies
Write infrastructure documentation, runbooks, and best practices
Manage secrets, IAM roles, and cloud-based access control
Perform system troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning
📌 Required Profile:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, DevOps Engineering, or related technical field
5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure-as-Code roles
Proven expertise with AWS, Azure, or GCP in production environments
Deep understanding of Linux systems, networking, and shell scripting
Experience managing Kubernetes clusters (EKS, AKS, GKE, or self-hosted)
Strong skills in IaC tools: Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation
Proficient in CI/CD tools and workflows (GitHub Actions, GitLab, CircleCI, ArgoCD)
Solid knowledge of Docker, container orchestration, and service mesh architectures
Familiarity with security principles, SSL, DNS, firewalls, and cloud governance
Fluent in English; other European languages are a plus
Must be an EU resident or legally authorized to work in the EU
